If you arent sure how to change the pads then dont! brakes are the most important part of a cars safety and if you dont no what your doing then you could put yourself and others lifes at risk spend a few bucks and take it to the shop one stuff up and it could cost you more

Change front pads on ford focus 2009 model

The 2009 Ford Focus seems difficult to install the non-caliper side brake disk due to integral springs on the pad steel backing. Looks like the outer cage of the brake, the part that straddles the rotor, needs to be removed for pad installation, then reassembled onto the caliper system with brake pads installed. Haven't attepmted this yet, but it appears to be the only alternative given geometric constraints. This is a lot more difficult than other front disk brake systems where the pads virtually slip right into place.

After changing pads and roto's on the front the brake petal goes to the floor and won't recover pressure? I didn't loosen brake lines or bleeders

You obviously got air in your lines while you were changing the pads. The brakes now need bleeding. Once you bleed them, your pedal will come firm again. But the good news is that you will only have to bleed the front brakes....Please don't forget to rate this answer for me...

When i move the car, it grinds badly and feels like in wheels, its a ford focus. it does it backwards to

Your brake pads or shoes, have worn past the pad lining, and now the steel backing is ginding against your rotor or drum.
You will have to have the brakes inspected.
Please let me know what you find.

Need to change my brake discs

You are obviously going to change the pads as well...once the caliper has been removed, give the rotor a smack with a hammer and it should come right off the hub. Sometimes a bit of wd40 or other solvent around the hub and into the hole around the wheel studs is needed to get them free. If you have never done brake work before, get a basic manual like haynes...it will help a lot.

Illustrations on how to fit front brake pads to 1999 ford mondeo

Just observe how you take the old ones off. Pads can only snap in one way. It may take some effort but clean the caliper of rust you shouldn't have any problem. Remember to crack open your brake fluid reservoir before compressing the caliper!

Brake shudder on ford focus diesel 2002.

did you have them change the rotors too ? even brand new ones out of the box often require turning (machining). replace the pads and rotors and go easy on the brakes for the first little while

How do I change brake pads on my 1999 ford escort?

pull the pins out. the clips hold them in place. use a large screw driver and seperate the pads from the rotors. pushing them away from the rotors to make room for the new ones. good luck
