A common problem could be the heater lines are clogged with debris, given the age of a 63 ford, you could change the rubber heater hoses that go to the heater core and see if that helps, if not, flush the heating hoses going to/from the engine, radiator
I've hade to do this to a 69 ford fairlane, and it was realatively simple to do

If you go the the registry agent (DMV) they can assign a new vin to the car. They usually send a person out to inspect the car and they will issue the new vin. If the car is from an auto wrecker and they find this out, they will not issue a new vin. Hope this helps.

Here is the firing order diagram for that engine, and the ignition points should have a gap of .025 in. or a 35 degrees dwell angle, and the spark plug gap is .034 in., and the ignition timing should be set at 6 degrees before TDC with a standard transmission, and 12 degrees before TDC with an automatic transmission. If the distributor was removed then it will have to be installed correctly, and let me know if you require any further assistance.

Your best bet would probably be to go to "carsandparts.com". This site is the offshoot of a magazine dedicated to the love of old cars. They have an extensive classified ad section that is broken down by maker. You may be able to find one there or post an ad looking for. There are also ads from manufacturer's that specialize in old car parts. I've seen articles in there about salvage yards specializing in old cars as well. Hope this helps.
