The buzzing is most likely the speedo cable ive had a few older cars that do this you might try having someone oil the cable if they can or you can as for the oil light it might be low oil pressure or a bad oil level sensor or even a dirty plug on the sensor

I had same problem because I skipped an oil change. You have sludge in your oil. To protect the oil pump, the inlet pipe is right at the bottom of the sump closed of by a very fine sieve to prevent damage to the oil pump. When motor is running, this sludge clogg this sieve. You do have enough oil, but it cannot be pumped fast enough and the buzzer is a low preasure warning.
How I know this, I took my sump off and cleaned it out by hand.
After replacing oil and filter, I decided to add sludge remover, to get all sludge out and the same problem was back again, so I would advise against comercial cleaners when you have too much sludge and dirt in your oil..
A rather radical solution that I found worked on the Golf and my Audi, was to leave the old filter in. Drain all the oil when hot, put back sump plug and add 4L of power parafin instead of oil. Let the motor run for 30secs to 1 minute. DO NOT REV. Run at about 1000 RPM. Make sure you drain ALL out, replace the filter and add new oil.
That solved the problem in one go!

Check on the side of your cars head if you have a sensor and whether its plugged in or where your oil filter turns on if the sensor is plugged in

Remove the arm rest and anything attached to door. If mechanical windows you might need special tool to remove window handle. Then carefully pry the panel clips away from the main door to remove panel and have access to innards.

There's a "buzzing" sound whenever I open my driver door (on my 2008 vw golf city) for the first time. Is this normal??

Yes, it's just the car anticipating it might be started . The system primes the fuel system before you turn the key receiving the signal from your door lock mechanism so it would always start at the first try. The sound comes from the bottom right near the fuel tank. All VW's do this.

Coolant leak in VW Golf mark 5 1.9 TDi auto DSG

There is, however, an air outlet into the driver's foot area. If the heater core is leaking, the air coming through the heater core will carry the droplets into the entire air ducting system. The driver's foot area may be the closest outlet. If it smells like coolant, you need to replace the heater core regardless of where in the cabin the coolant is coming out.

MY VW CITI CHICO 2001 1.4i temperature guage faulty?

good chance you t-stat is stuck open that will cause the temp gauge to not get all the way to normal operating temp. also e.c.t can cause this problem. good luck hope that helps. to bridge your connector it will not really tell you to much if you take a multi meter and check the green wire and put the other wire to ground you can see the signal voltage less then 6v

I have this buzzing problem with my vw citi golf 1.4i

Not sure what model your car is,but try checking the two oil sender units, one located onthe side of the cylinder head[gearbox side]and the other on the oil filter housing. Also have a mechanic check oil pressure, should be+-2bar pressure at idle.If everything checks out, including the wiring, try another instrument cluster..Good luck

Clutch repair 2005 VW Chico

You need to empty the engine from all fluids, tehn remove air filter and other parts, mount your Golf on a bridge and remove the clutch pressure plate assembly mounted on a side of the engine.

You will need special tools to align and mount the new pressure plate, and you will need to follow a procedure to reinstall the clutch without removing the transaxle.

Replacing the clutch is not an easy task for a beginner, if you do it yourself, get the haynes manual with the complete illustrated procedure.

After replacing you will have to adjust the clutch. See CLUTCH REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES.
