SOURCE: transmission filter on 2003 hyundia santa fe

In 2002 they discontinued the external trans filter. So your vehicle could have the external filter. If you look next to the trans dipstick tube, on top of the trans case you will see the filter or you will see just a spot where the filter use to go before they eliminated it. Yes, the filter does llok like a regular engine oil filter. If the trans does not have the external filter ontop then there is no service to the filter to be done, the only recommendation is to bring vehicle into a shop to have the fluid flushed. By the way, make SURE you use the correct Hyundai SP-III trans fluid (not dexron/mercon). This fluid is specific to the Hyundai and can not be purchased from auto parts stores, only the dealership. Failure to use SP-III will cause premature wear to the internal bands and clutches.

SOURCE: Whenever it rains my 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe will

We went through this with ours recently. Hyundai diagnosed it as a bad crank shaft position sensor. We replaced it and we're up and running again. Not sure why the damp weather affected it but it did.

2004 santa se 2.4L Temp gauge reads normal, but heat from vents excesivlly hot.will not start after running for a while until it sits 1/2 hr.

There is a blower control resistor (manual system) or a blower transistor (automatic temp system) located behind the glove compartment in the HVAC box and this is a high failure item.

I have a 2004 santa fe 3.5 l with 65,000 on it. recently it has been stalling and running rough, and the sometimes not restarting. i have an evap code.p0446. but no check engine light. started and ran ok...

Millions of people around the world, have all kinds
of problems, with all kinds of vehicles,at least once a year

That is a common EVAP Code for a Vent Control Valve
or circuit problem

Most likely the valve is letting in air under certain conditions
& leaning out your fuel mix, thus misfires & running rough

It is an unmonitored source of air entering the intake

If you can find it ,most likely under the rear of the car,
you could change that one valve

That is not the way to diagnose, but you may get away
this one time, if you want to chance saving money at
a repair shop. No guarrantee that is the isssue.

It seems Kai & Hyundia (asian vehicles) have a high rate of evap issues
vs; the big US three

I have a 2004 santa fe, the A/C blower only works on high. There is power from the control head to under the dash, but where it goes into the fan there is no power except for when it is on high

How about when the heat is on? You might have 2 reostats, one for heater one for A/C.The reostat controls blower speed Most cars only have one ,but who knows seen stranger thjngs,I have had bad blower motors only work on high.My guess would be a reostat.

I have a 2004 hyundia santa fe it has a very

It sounds like you have a faulty tps (throttel position sensor). If the car has a check engine light on, any auto parts store can check them for free. You should also take a good look at the vacuum lines, intake tube, and the air filter. Any vacuum leaks can cause erratic behavior. You may also want to buy a can of mass air cleaner to spray down the mass air sensor and tps as well as any other sensors on the intake. I hope this information is helpful.

2004 hyundia santa fe had a clicking noise by the power steering pump then later at a red light stopped running and wont start. all gauges showed no indication of anything wrong

Does the Check Engine light come ON when this happens? Whenever the "Check Engine" light comes on, there is always a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) stored in the ECM (Engine Control Module). You'll need an OBDII (On-Board-Diagnostics) scanner to retrieve any codes recorded/set in ECM. Once you do this and let us know what, if any codes are set, then we can go from there.
