Truck turns but wont start

This could be a fuel pump problem try starting fluid if starts and dies then have a fuel pressure test done to confirm pump failure.

Turns over ok wont start.ran ok last night this morning wont start. new clutch last night and brake lines.

While doing the clutch you more than likely unplug the fuel pump wiring harness or the crankshaft sensor and this wiil cause the truck not to start. Check under the truck for a unplugged wiring harness and reconnect it and I am sure your truck will start.

Takes several cranks to start truck, even though it is fuel injected.once started, fuel is pumped fine.

May be having fuel pressure problems. I would change the fuel filter if you haven't in awhile. A plugged filter will cause the fuelpump to overwork, not build proper pressure & wear out prematurely.

99 Suburban wont start

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY 1999 GMC YUKON WITH THE 5.7 ENGINE HAVING TO JUMP START ALL THE TIME TO GET IT RUNNING, THE PROBLEM WITH MINE WAS THE FUEL PUMP HAD TO BE REPLACED, EVEN WHEN I REMOVED THE PUMP AND TURNED THE KEY FUEL PUMPED OUT BUT WAS NOT ENOUGH PRESSURE TO GET AND KEEP THE ENGINE RUNNING.I ALSO TRIED STARTER FLUID, THE ENGINE WOULD RUN UNTIL THE FLUID BURNED OFF.SO THE SOLUTION FOR MY TRUCK WAS THE FUEL PUMP AND NOW ITS STARTING LIKE A CHAMP

1999 Chevy S10 cranks but wont start

A very common problem on the 99 S10 is a leaky fuel pressure regulator in the intake plenum. What happens is when the truck sits for a few hours or more the regulator leaks all of the fuel in the fuel injection system into the intake air plenum. This does 2 things, 1 it has no fuel pressure when starting and 2 it floods the air intake with raw fuel. Sometimes if you turn the key on wait 3 seconds then turn key off then turn key back on and just turn key to crank starter for a split second and wait 3 seconds.do this 3 times to repressurize fuel system then crank to start(you will hear fuel pump buzz each time you do this.also you may have leaky fuel injectors. Try to crank engine with the gas pedel to the floor. This will tell the computer to stop spraying fuel trhough the injectors and it will start. Joe ASE Master Tech

Truck wont start

Check the fuel pump run relay under the hood in the power distribution box, it may be sticking and not allowing the pump to run after the key is released on start up, crank and run are 2 separate circuits on the pump.
