SOURCE: ABS FAULT WITH NISSAN TERRANO YREG

Had same fault - was damaged wiring in loom at back of engine where main engine harness meets the bulkhead.

There is a screened cable grey/pink that houses the two O/S/F ABS wires blue and pink. The loom copex cuts through the ABS cable causing this fault. Take a look at link below:

SOURCE: how do remove the centre

Take the wheel off. then the grease cap. There will be a keeper that has 2 screws, take those out, then remove the keeper. You will see another keeper, but this one is actually a nut. There are two round holes on the keeper, take a punch, or a common screwdriver, and a hammer and tap it off. If will spin. Make sure that you keep these parts free of dirt, as the wheel bearing will pick it up and ruin it. Once you have these removed, then the wheel assembly will slide right off. When you are installing them make sure that you have seated the wheel unit on before you thread the nut on. Tighten the nut as far as you can using a screwdriver to spin it on, and then tap it tight with the screwdriver and hammer, make sure that you do not get it too tight, or you will cause the bearing to wear prematurely.

Hi. Could you tell me which fuse controls the electric aerial. Nissan terrano ll 1996 import.

typically the fuze is under the hood. It is a inline fuze attached to the antenna motor.. I may be hidden under the fender, so find the motor for the antenna and follow the wires till you come upon the fuze holder. It comes apart with a twist, be sure to replace with the same value fuze. 2 amp usually. It has been my experience that these fuzes blow because of a short in the wiring or a short in the motor itself. so if your replacement fuze blows right after you put it in, you have more than a fuze problem.

what fault code do you have. If you changed the crankshaft sensor you also need to change the camshaft sensor, they go hand in hand.

Nissan oil capacity

With or without a filter? Have you lost the dipstick? Fill it to the full mark, about 6 liters without filter, plus 1 litre to fill the oil filter. Run engine then check levels again. Try not to overfill the sump.

Get the ABS system fixed, that usually turns the light off. Get the computer scanned for the fault codes and work from there.

I just had the computer on my Terrano rebooted, which seems to have solved the problem with it 'die'-ing and surging. One of the local Auto Electrical places sorted it.

1999 nissan terrano diesel turbo is lacking power , brand new fuel pump and comp chip installed and has run like **** since, has been put through comp diagnosis but no fault showing,(is very slow 2 pickup...

Possibly the "Mass airflow sensor". I had a similar problem, basically the car behaved like it didn't have a turbo and was really slow. Unfortunately the Mass airflow sensor is expensive, about AU$800. Only failed once several years ago. Hope this helps.
