Probably the turn signal switch assembly. This is a common problem with the older Fords. The switch is a self contained unit at a cost of about $100.00.

There are several ways you can get the fuse diagram for your vehicle. One being a google search, the other methods I've used are buying the Haynes or Chilton service manual for the vehicle, going to the repair guides at AutoZone's website, or looking for your vehicle's service manual at Scribd.com

Turn signals are on fuse number one and brake lights are on fuse number 9. Both are in the fuse box under the dash or on the side of the dash. Both are 15amp.
