ya im know it can jump but as common as a belt would jump, the systems i got from the owner it just quit, and the first thing i thought was timing belt, but the the chain made me think different,is that a common problem with this vehicle, jumping time

I guess the first thing to try is a timing light. If your timing mark is jumping all over the place when you turn it over, the chain is shot.

so you think the timing chain can't jump?

Make sure you get a fuel pressure reading to know if you need to replace the fuel pump assembly...it should have 43 psi reading. If it is bad the fuel filters need replaced too. A fuel pump should never be ran lower that a quater of a tank because it kills the life of the pump, it acts as the pumps cooling system. Check for spark and see if there are any engine codes like a bad crank signal. Good luck

1999 chevy 1500 starts then dies like it not getting fuel

if it is fuel injected that truck needs in the range of 70-80 psi to run
had one with 45psi that would not run so make sure it's putting out enough psi

I have 2005 Nissan altima that wont start. It cranks but wont start. I checked the battery with a portable load tester, good. No codes or check engine light. Fuel pump pumps fuel, wont even come on with...

Nissans are known to have problems with ignition coils which would not show up on code reader. I would start with that. Pull a plug and hold it to ground to see how strong the spark is while turning engine over. If the plugs are wet when you take them out then you can be sure it is in all probability related to coils.

My truck wont start, I have fuel pressure, spark, correct timming, what else should I look for

how much fuel preasure ? this van needs 54 psi to start the lowest 45psi,make sure theres enough preasure. if timing is on and theres spark and you have preasure it should start unless!! there no injector pluse, check the injectors for power and pluse.if you spray throtlebody and it starts then we know it a fuel problem start there, let me what happens.

MY 01 Nissan Altima does not want to start.

Sounds like either the fuel pressure regulator or a clogged fuel filter.
