The drain for this well is normally at the sides and drains out inside the fenders behind the wheels. The biggest problem is that the drains get blocked with dead leaves and block up and rust out the area.

Replacing the fan doesn't take many tools, just skill. The fan is under the passenger side dashboard. Remove the cover that is held in with a T25 screw. After removing the screw pry the cover down. Disconnect the light from the cover. Remove the foot vent under the dashboard by pulling it down. Using a 5.5mm socket remove the screws holding in the blower fan. Removing the fan can be very difficult because the main wire harness goes under one edge of the fan. When you get the fan out check it for water damage. When installing the new fan make sure it slides into the channel in the hva/c box. Working around the wire harness can be frustrating. After reassembling check that the fan works. There are 4 places water can leak into the fan. The hva/c water drain can be plugged. The wiper cowl cover at the base of the windshield can be unclipped from the windshield. And one of the two wiper cowl water drains can be plugged.

lol ok where your wiper motor sits water can collect there that whole pan underneath wiper motor could be full of water there is a drain hose for the water could be clogged you will have to take wiper arms off and the plastic screen after that look see if there is debrees look around for drain hole take hose off to drain hole check to see if clogged

Water on passanger side comin in, when going through a high pressure carwash! So had to change the Blower motor resistor because or the water pourring in! Is there a hole beneath the wiper motor

Yes, there is a hole under the wiper motor. This is where the heater/defroster gets fresh air from.

If you are getting water in the heater box, the drains that keep the water from backing up, and entering the hole, are blocked. You will need to have the cowl panle removed, and any debris under the cowl removed and cleaned out.

Check the cowl drains where the wiper motor is housed. Many times this will cause water to leak inside. You didn't specify if it only happens when the A/C is on, after it rains, etc. If it only happens when the A/C is on, look for an evaporator drain hose coming from the housing that holds the evaporator. It is not uncommon to have clogged cowl drains especially if you park underneath pine trees.

I have a leak at the driver side front onto the floor. This is a right hand drive model. It only happens when car is parrked in the rain. It is so much that a puddle of water forms at the front and back...

i think the drain is blocked that allows the water that collects under the wiper motor grill ,look on the rear of the firewall and their is a compartment where the wiper motor is ,look either side and their is a drain hole and i think this is blocked with dead leaves or general rubbish like old rags or tissue paper

Disconnecting the windshield wiper motor tray from the fire wall

Remove the wiper arms and cowl panel, disconnect the electrical connector. Disconnect drain the 2 drain tubes below panel, then remove the 4 brackets on top of wiper tray. Next remove the 6 bolts that hold the tray to the firewall.

Installing the rear heater water lines

you need to remove wiper module in order to replace these heater tubes..remove both wiper arms,cowl grille screws..4 small nuts up by windshield,4 bolts holding module by wiper linkage..unplug wiper motor connector on front,remove drain tubes from module,lift up and out on module..reverse procedure to reinstall

I had the same problem on my 97 G AM for about a year now, Water getting on the driver side carpet all the way to the back,it just got worst over time, But I found the problem, you have to look behind the wiper motor where the fire wall meets the bodi ,there is a hire line crack rigth behind the wiper motor where the water coming from the wiper cowling drains from ther is some kind of coulking that is painted the same color as the car, you must clean the area with a screwdriver and soap, and use clear silicon with a coulking gun, you must remove the 2 top wiper motor screws do not remove the botom one not need to and remove the 2 wire plugs and pull the motor back and rotaded upwards know youre clear to do the job; good luck it worked for me.

Bad wiper motor on 1996 dodge grand caravan

According to the Haynes repair manual Chapter 12:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable
2. Detach washer hoses, lift the wiper arm covers and mark the wiper arm locations on the pivot shaft for later re-installation. Remove the wiper pivot nut and remove the wiper arms.
3. Remove the cowl cover (from chapter 11)
3a. Remove the wiper arms then remove the screws that hold the lower area of the cowl cover to the wiper module.
3b. Disengage the quarter turn fasteners that hold the outer ends of the cowl cover to the wiper module.
3c. Open the hood and release the wing nuts that hold the front of the cowl cover to the wiper module.
3d. Close the hood but do not latch it. Now remove the outboard screws and lift the cover up enough to get to the washer hose.
3e. Disconnect the washer hose from the right washer nozzle. Close the hood but do not latch it. Lift the cowl cover toward the windshield and off the vehicle.
3f. Installation is the reverse of removal
4.Open the hood. Disconnect the wiper motor electrical connector.
5. Disconnect the windshield washer hose from the coupling inside the unit. Disconnect the drain tubes from the bottom of the wiper unit.
6. Remove the wiper unit mounting bolts. (Picture appears to be three (possibly allen head) bolts)
7. Remove wiper unit.
8. Installation is the reverse of removal. Wiper blade and wiper arm adjustment is measured with the wipers parked; correct adjustment is the lower wiper arm approximately 1.5 inches distance from the cowl cover and the upper arm approximately 2.5 inches from the lower arm. Operate the wiper motor and check that the wiper motor parks when the wiper switch is OFF.

Windshield wiper operation

I have seen a simular fault which ended up being the intermittent wiper relay was full of water from water collected in the airconditoners evaporator tray.
The water has problems escaping this tray & when you go around the corners the water rans out onto your feet & the intermittent wiper relay is mounted down the side of the transmission wall & gets soaked along with the carpet.
I suggest you find the relay, remove it check the inside of it for water damage. If stuffed replace it & also suggest to check your evaporator's tray & rubber S bend drain for obstructions. I think this is a design fault in all 240s.
Another fault I have seen with the wiper motor is it not running too well with excessive noise, due to water getting into the motor through the 2 mounting clips on the round part of the motor casing to the casting. There are 2 small slots which allows water into the motor.
I suggest remove the wiper motor by removing the cir clip & or nut under the dash board connecting to the arms, Then the 3 x 10mm bolts & carefully pull the wiper motor apart don't loose the 2 angled clips & screws, clean & re grease the motor & try not to damage the maganets or over tighten the 2 screws & re assemble in reverse order.
