Question about Cars & Trucks
I have a 96 gmc sierra i have no dash lights and the truck turns over just fine but wont start. i replaced cap and rotor it started right up, when i tryed to start it up again. can any one give me a few more tips on what i should troubleshoot next? Thanks for your time.
Pull the coil wire and check for spark from the coil. If spark is ok Spray starting fluid into the intake and see if it tries to start. These vehicle have fuel pumps go bad all the time at 100K-150K miles. So if it tries to start you would need to check fuel pressure

I suggest you have the injectors tested by the dealer, the sludge buildup will not cause a miss fire. to clean the throttle body use carberator spray while holding the engine idle high.

It is probably the fuel pump. If I remember the number correctly, this fuel system needs about 50 lbs to open a valve.
Until this valve opens, no fuel gets to the fuel nozzels.
