Torque converter solenoid. Or maybe just the wiring to it. Another common problem.

I had the same problem, maybe 25MPH top speed and difficult to start. Changed out the old gas, installed fresh high octane-problem was worse.
The ignition system was faulty. Pull a High voltage wire and you should see a bright blue spark and hear a crackling noise. If you see a weak yellow spark, you found your problem.
Could be a bad/weak ignition module-rather famous in a Fiero due to heat exposure. Bad pickup coil in the distributor. I replaced the entire (rusty) distributor with a new/rebuilt unit a long with a new Ignition module. Solved the problem!

.045 should be about right.

when you buy spark plugs for your specific vehicle, look on the box or ask the auto parts salesperson, they should have that info

I need the firing order for an '86 fiero 2.8L V-6


The firing order for this car from right to left is:-

4 Cylinder is 1-3-4-2.

and

V6 or 6 Cylinder is 1-3-6-2-5-4.

I would think the most likely culprits would be a bad EGR or TPS

Tail lights fora 1986 Fiero


rear of the car is totally different, if you want to do the gt conversion you will need to exchange the whole rear clip.
gt light are wider,cant use just the lens or cover.check for parts at vegas fiero club
