Check your headlamp swicth, if thats not it check the lightbulbs, if you put the wrong one in you may have upped the ohms creating heat, wich as a default should collect at either the switch or relay.
you could also just have a shorted switch

Why does my 94 ram 5.9 want to die when I turn on the headlights

Possibly a bad alternator ! Go to auto zone and they will run a check on it for free . But check for corrosion on the negative terminal first !

Dodge ram 1500- when car is in park, the "park lights" dont work.

The parking lights would not normally come on unless you turn them on with the headlight switch. The daytime running lights would come on in drive and go off in park.
If you can't turn the parking lights on with the headlight switch, you would check the fuse, the relay if equipped, and the headlight switch.

My 2006 dodge ram 1500 headlights flicker on and of when the truck it turned on but the headlights are turned off. Can anybody help???

You will need to replace the headlight switch and the headlight switch connector, they are burned, it is a comm,on issue. Solder the repair connector on do not crimp connect it!

The only way my headlights in my 1999 dodge ram worked was if i did Tilt Wheel know they dont come on at all...went to a dodge dealer and the answer i got was NEVER HEARD OF THAT....Ya right!can any shed...

If tilting the wheel turned the headlights on, it sounds like there's a problem with the ignition switch. Or if the headlight switch is a stalk on the steering column, possibly a fault somewhere in that switch or the wiring to it. First thing to do is find the headlight fuses and see if you have power on both sides of the fuse with the key on. If you don't, i would take the steering column covers off and look for a broken wire or burnt connector at the ignition switch.

there is a recall #819 i dont know if your usa or other country but it may be covered. if it isnt covered it still probably is whats wrong. unplug headlight switch and look at the connector check for melted plastic or discolored terminals. if it has any of that then you will need to replace the connector body, any discolored terminals. headlight switch and to keep it from happening again you will have to install the relay kit that is provided with recall. at the dealer i worked at the parts dept. would sell the kits as long as the truck was not listed in the recall.

Headlights won't come on

With the headlight switch pull to the on position (parking lights working - headlights won't come on), can you flash the lights to high beam. If so, you have a bad switch in the stearing columb. I had that problem on a 94 Ram 1500.
