Question about 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
A jeep Avalon engine swap???? or a JEEP WJ?
the CEL/MIL/SES is reset 3 ways on all cars. with pitfalls.
1: use any scantool to reset it (right way) Short answer,,,, too..........
2: pull the memory wire fuse to PCM. (very good)
3: pull battery minus lug, step on brakes or HL on , to discharge buss and the put it back.
let me warn you for #3 (the wrong way)
A: if you have a stock radio it just losts the theft code, the opr .guide
tells you to back up all RADIO codes. or it will BRICK .
same with newer cars and NAV> NAV, bricks.
learn modes, lost. (RTM) favorite stations lost, if TBW, gone funky.
RTM read the manual, tbw throttle by wire, gawd help you.....
Brinks means works like an brick and stays that way.
until trip to dealer and a PITA>
Buy a real scan tool for $9 (ask) and do it right.
or , pay the piper...
or buy the real FSM. at the dealer or at fleabay used.
