Question about 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan
1996 dodge caravan fault code p4030 "exhaust gas recirculation control circuit" is preventing it from passing it's emissions test (Washington State). Is there anything I can take care of myself to fix this problem?
Check the vacuum line going to the valve and the transducer, this is the black plastic rounnd thing between the egr valve and the intake, chances are the transducer is bad and can only be purchased along with the valve. if you have access to a vaccum gauge you can connect it to the line at the egr valve and raise the rpm to 2000rpm and see if it pulls vacuum, but you can probably count on buying a new valve assembly.
it will come with the tranducer which is probably allyou need. hope this helps.
