The coil may be bad. Was the plug wire inserted all the way in? Could be a bad coil, but also check that wire and its spark plug for any sign of damage. Not likely, but check.

Well first of them all, most buick regals dont have a spark plug problem untill around 100.000 miles. but it can happen at times. changing the rear plugs becomes interesting because you must LOOSEN/NOT REMOVE the rear engine mounts and rock the car forward and back then when your buick is all the way forward hit the brakes and put on the parking brake tightly. then there is enough room to reach behind the motor to get to those plugs. be very careful of plastic parts, wires hoses when lying on your motor. also check the plug wires. get a good pair of insulated goloves and pull off one wire and look for a shaking of the motor. that means that plug is firing then replace the wire, move on to the next. if you determing this is not the issue check you air filter and fuel filter. Either of these clogged will make you motor run rough. listen for little pop noises on top of your engine. if you feel that one of your plug wires is bad, park in a totally dark area and open your hood turn out your lights and look around the engine for sparks arking to the motor or body. Don`t touch the sparking wire if there is any just note the wire and replace it. dont put your hands near the engine in the dark you may loose a finger or hand, arm etc. hope this helps and god bless

SOURCE: 2000 buick lesabre stall after starting or after running for 30 minutes

I have a 1996 Lesabre. I had a similar problem that slowly got worse. I brought it to two different mechanics that did diagnostic checks and could only "suggest" what to replace to fix the problem. Their problem was that it wouldnt stall out while they had the mv. After replacing a bunch of sensors and the fuel pump/ filter, I solved the problem by replacing the Crank Sensor. Its located behind the lower crank pulley on the 3.8 lt motor. Hope this helps!

A miss-fire in wet weather is usually a plug wire. You could use a spray bottle of water while the engine is running to look for the problem.
Its possible you have a bad coil, but usually when a coil goes bad it fails to work at all, or when it gets hot.

My 93 LeSabre Starts and runs very rough When I

Remove the EGR valve and see if it has a chunk of carbon stuck in it. This is common and the only way to check it is to just remove it and look.

Kidspeedy hopefully buick lasabre that runs rough

I also had a misfire, but on a 4cyl. At speed it was great-getting there? so yes do the tune up of plugs and wires. You only have one cyl out of six laying down on you, might not even be hardly noticable.

plugs and or wires.
for some reason the spark is jumping out of the wire or plug.
the plug insulater may have a crack in it.
also use a carb spray to clean out the throttle body at the throttle plate.
all the black carbon will build up around the throttle plate and restrick airflow at an idle position.

hope this helps
thank you

2000 buick lesabre runs rough. It started running rough and the I drove it around for a while and it was okay for several weeks and then started running rough again and staying that way.

First I would change where I buy gas.And perform a tun up,start with the spark plugs,if it runs okay your done if not #2 change your wires. And clean your throttle body with carb cleaner.
