Question about Honda Cars & Trucks
I want to put Honda Pilot steel wheels on my 2010 odyssey which has aluminum stock wheels. Honda says factory lug nuts for steel and aluminum pilot wheels are different but can't tell me how. 1. Will my odyssey alum wheels lugs nuts work on stell wheels?-remember Pilot steels have plastic center that is held on by lug nuts. 2.What kind/type/style lug nuts do I need to put steel stock Pilot wheels on my odyssey-where can I get them? Thanks Willie in Colo Spgs

SOURCE: wheel covers on 2005 S-Type
Same problem on an 02 X-Type. I called a mechanic and he said to use a
7/8" socket. I have yet to give it a try, but I thought it might help.
I tried to post a solution but didn't realize that I needed to sign up first.

the lugs should have a flat washer and a spring washer the lug should have a long cylinder shape on one end that is tapered to tighten up the wheel the washers hold the plastic hubs in place you might try a wrecking yard or a dealer for them

I put in some time at an auto salvage yard. Aluminum wheels were big sellers and not something we wanted to damage.
When the lug nuts needed some persuading, we got out the high impact 12 pt deep sockets.
First try we used the correct size.
If they were stripped, one size smaller. We hammer them on to the lug and use a breaker bar with a pipe extension.
The only real problems we had were getting the lug nuts out of the sockets.
Good luck and best regards,

Testimonial: "Most helpful although i am still having problems, it seems that the lug nuts are so soft rather than loosening the nut the socket just spins on the nu"
go to parts house and buy a 4 way lug wrench for import(mm) sizes. they are available. ask parts guy if he will let you see if it will fit your car before buying. He let you try if the car is there.
