Question about 2004 Kia Optima
The check engine light came on and when my husband took it in to the local auto parts store they said the code was for the throttle body sensor. is this something we can fix ourselves? what does this entail? we just had our car in the shop for the timing belt and aren't looking for another pricey shop-job.
Throttle body sensors are easy to replace(generally). you need to locate throttle body(air filter connected to it). A 9v battery sized sensor with two or more wires should be connected to it. If you can find this it should have snaps on the sides ot top that disconnect it. Sensor should also be inexpensive. Good luck hope I helped.
