Has the catch been operated with the door open? Is the door just banging against the keeper? If so put a screwdriver or even a pen in the catch and operate the door handle and slide the screwdriver away to simulate the keeper on opening the door.

1999 chevy tahoe when it gets wet doors lock.

they're shorting from the water running down the inside of your door...pull the door panel and install a sheet of plastic over the window controls with duct tape at the top, sortof like a "flap" over the top of the window switches...make it 5-6 wider than the switch area.
Your window "sweep" (at the top of the door) is most likely shot.
Good Luck

Gonna have to try to remove door panel and access the rod that runs from interior handle to lock mechanism, or try to unlock door from outside with a slimjim tool.
