from the jumper car attach the positive lead from the jumper car to the positive terminal of the dead battery
next attach the negative lead from the jumper car to the engine head bolt or some other place on the engine ---not on the negative terminal of the dead battery as this creates the possibility of a power surge which may damage the ECM
hold the jumper car at around 2000 rpms for a few minutes before trying to crank the dead battery car and hold the rpms while cranking
