The amount of oil to refill the sump will be the regular amount plus 1/2 pint for the new filter. You will need to know the sump capacity ( from a owners hand book for your engine)

How to install new oil housing kit 94 f 150 5.0

If you got oil coming out when it's running around oil filter. You probably got a oilfilter adapter. You have to remove oil filter(replace) and let oil drop off adapter. After a bit wipe adapter off and you will foind one alan-head bolt in the center or two alan-head bolts. After removing clean, install gasket or a o-ring it could take both. Don't over tighten bolts. Make sure you clean off old oil where oil filter seats

Bmw 1 series petrol oil

You must have missed the rubber ring from the bottom or the oilfilter. If this ring is not there, it takes a while before the pressure goes up.

Cant figure out oil leak on 96 jimmy oil .seems to be by the filter but not filter and where lines by oilfilter go to engine maybe???????????

Clean the area of any oil/ dirt. Remove oil filter and check only one round seal. Sometimes when filters changed the original seal can be left on. Replace and tighten filter and start engine. Have a light handy and watch the area for any leaks.

1986 Camaro 2.8eng has a bad oil leak coming looks like from above the oilfilter,

Have you recently had an oil and filter change? Its possible the old "o"ring seal for the old filter got
left stuck in place. I've seen this before and when the new filter is installed the new seal does'nt make a good seal.
If there was'nt a recent oil change, check the valve cover gaskets and the oil pressure sending
unit. I had one crack and start leaking once, it just about drove me crazy before I found it.
Hope this helps.

1996 couger oil filter housing is leaking

Whipe all the area around cleen, fill the oil level, start the engine and see where is leeking.
If its oil filter gascet leeking, change the oilfilter, clean all htat area and see if it still leeks.

If leek is somewhere else, you may consider asking for help in car service.

Oilfilter

You didn't post the size of motor but once you drop the skid plate, you will see it.

The oil filter is under the engine skid plate. You need to remove the trap door to see.
The skid plate door is located by the drivers side door, directly midway underneath the vehicle. You will need a flat or Phillips-hear srewdriver to open the trap door. Don't worry, the screws are 'loss-proof' and will not fall off the trap door plate. Once this has been removed, the oil drain plug and oil filter are now visible and accessable (how smart is that!) Typical oil change and oil filter replacement time = 15-20 mins. for a familiar shadetree. p.s. The Inline 6 (24 valve - 4.2L) takes 7 quarts of oil. Good luck!

2004 jeep grand cherokee, 4.0, change oil without filter change,

Not sure why the question is even being asked, but you can change the oil yourself in about 15 minutes; simply jack the front end, put a pan under the oil drain plug, open the plug, let it drain, put the plug back in, and add new oil.

Take it to any outlet that changes oil (Wal-Mart, for example, charges about $18, some places charge as little as $15) and they'll include a new filter because otherwise you're running new oil through an old filter, which defeats the idea of the oil change. You can ask them not to put on a new filter, but you'll still pay the base price.

My question is, why would you not want a new filter if you're changing oil.

Let me know if this answers your question.
