There was a recall on this, see your local Chevrolet dealer.... Recall Date: NOV 01, 2004 Model Affected: 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer Summary: ON CERTAIN SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES, VIBRATION AND HEAT MAY CAUSE THE TAIL LAMP/STOP LAMP BULB TO LOOSEN IN ITS SOCKET. IF THIS OCCURS, THE BULB MAY FLICKER AND EVENTUALLY BECOME INOPERATIVE. Consequences: AN INOPERATIVE BRAKE LAMP WILL NOT CONVEY THE DRIVER'S INTENTION OF STOPPING TO DRIVERS IN FOLLOWING VEHICLES, AND AN INOPERATIVE REAR TURN SIGNAL LAMP WILL NOT CONVEY THE DRIVER'S INTENTION TO TURN TO DRIVERS IN FOLLOWING VEHICLES. BOTH OF THESE FAILURES CAN INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH. Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE TAIL LAMP/STOP LAMP ASSEMBLIES, AND IF NECESSARY, REPLACE THEM. THE RECALL BEGAN ON NOVEMBER 22, 2004. The wiring for your left turn/hazard might be damaged. The turn and hazard signals use the same bulbs and wiring, but get their signal from different switches.

I want to replace the turn sign light bulbs in my 2004 chev. trailblazer

Remove the grill, there are 2-4 clips on the top that you just pop through the plastic for it to come forward. Then carefully pull on the sides, those just pop out. Then there are 2 metal L shaped clips on the headllight assembly that come up, use a screw driver or pliers to pull these up. One is on the left side of the headlight, the other is way off to the right just under the fender. At this point the whole headlight assembly can come forward and you can now access each of the turn signal lights.

The Trailblazers have a common problem with the printed circuit boards in the tail lamp housing.
Unplug the tail lamp housing at the wiring connector and test for power with a test light. ( With turn signals on) You may have an open circuit in the lamp housing circuit board. Good luck

See if one or the other bulb is out when it stops blinking. If yes, change that bulb. If no, replace signal flasher.
