Why is my 89 ford bronco running so rich

I saw what you replaced, didn't see any testing? Any applicable trouble codes?
Did you use a gage and check proper fuel pressure? My info on that engine size, said 35--45 psi. If the fuel pressure is too high, check the return line. As far as the fuel pressure regulator, do you have vacuum?

I bought a 89 ford bronco it will back fire through the fuel injection when you give it gas but not all the time

sounds like it is running lean. Check engine light on?

You mean backfiring through the intake manifold right?

A tip in hesitation or backfire is usually a lean condition. If you have a MAF sensor, clean the inside exposed wires with carb cleaner. Do no touch.

On normal acceleration the engine is running ok but on full throtle the engine in going up in RPM and explosion on the exhaust, no power,

Sounds like the car is 'running rich'

Take it to a garage to have the CO emmissions analysed. If it's backfiring, it's due to unburnt petrol ending up in the exhaust and the heat from the exhaust causing it to combust.

My 1979 ford 429 will run but with slight backfire through carb. how do I set tdc by using the balancer and pointer

0 on the balancer lined up with the pointer should be TDC. Just make sure that when you have it lined up that #1 is ready to fire. The distirbutor makes 2 revolutions to every one of the crank so on one pass #1 won't fire. You have to be in the cycle where the intake valve opens first and then the exhaust valve, not the other way round. Check this by lifting the valve cover and watching the valves. Hope this helps.
