2008 Buick Enclave HVAC blower stopped working

2008 Enclave - HVAC blower stopped working...40A blower motor fuse in engine bay is good, but want to check the 15A fuse labeled "HVAC" in the interior fuse panel (behind glove box), but cannot access it enough to remove and check the fuse due to rubber sound proofing material and the tight, curved fit of the fuse block (extremely poor placement/access for this row of fuses). What does this 15A fuse do...is it worth trying to remove to check? Does it turn the blower on/off? The instrument panel works (ie - the fan indicator lights up to show the speed of the blower), so does this mean the 15A fuse is good?

SOURCE: blower motor does not work any speed and more

If you know the fan works with direct battery voltage and you have no voltage at the fuse block then you have a problem at the fuse block. You need to remove it and check for corrosion or a short. This could also have something to do with your radio and buzzer. Pull the fuse for the radio and remove the buzzer and then check to see if your test lamp lights across the 25 amp fuse opening for the blower.
Also with fuse in place check for voltage at the yellow/brown wire going into the blower motor switch. Just cover all your bases before going at removing the fuse block.

Did you find out a solution to your problem? I have a 1996 trooper that is showing most of the same symptoms that you have. I'm curious as to your fix. Was it simply a bad ground?

I Have a 1998 Buick Rivera Blower does not blow i have power to the relay under the rear seat i have pulled the blower motor. by passed and motor fine no power to fuse left side of dash is there a rel

Not sure hat rely you are checking but the blower motor does. To have a relay in the rear fuse block. The fuse you're checking protects the HVAC computer. The HVAC computer uses that circuit to monitor the voltage going to the blower motor.

The most likely problem is the blower motor resistor, aka blower motor module, blower motor speed control. It is typically located near the blower motor. The red wire is power from the battery and should be there all the time. Black is ground. Purple is power to the blower. Grey/black is the speed input from the HVAC module.

Blower motor not working on 2005 buick lacrosse cxl

Blower operation is handled by the HVAC control module which gets its power from the 10A HVAC fuse in the instrument panel fuse block. There is a blower motor control processor that gets its power from the 30A BATT MAIN 4 fuse in the underhood fuse block. The HVAC control module sends speed signals to the blower motor control processor which turns on the blower motor at the selected speed. Note that there is no relay involved. If you check the fuses and check the path to the blower motor you may find that the motor is OK and the trouble is somewhere else

The blower motor worked then suddenly stopped

At the central junction box, check 15A fuse 16 which feeds the remote climate control (RCC) module. Check 10A fuse 28 which feeds the RCC module and the blower motor relay. Check 40A fuse 6 which feeds the blower motor relay. If the fuses are OK, start the engine (the blower only works while the engine is running). There should be 12V at the PNK/WHT wire connection to the front blower motor speed controller and the blower should be operating. If not, the controller may be defective or the blower motor may have failed

The heater fan motor quit on my 2002 Ford F-150 Super Cab and I can't find a fuse for it. How do I repair it?

Owners manual lists the fuses as :
Engine compartment fuse # 105, 40A
- This is the power to the blower motor relay to drive the blower.

Cab Fuse Panel, Fuse #22, 10A. This is the power to the switch in the HVAC panel.
- This fuse through the switch to operate the relay coil on the blower motor relay.

The other thing to check is the blower motor resistor, to see if there is any damage to it ( usually this is the blower only works on high )
This is behind the glove box

2002 f150 heater blower quit working all of a sudden. fuses check out okay. no juice at switch plug with the key on.

The cab fuse panel, fuse #22 is only hot in the run position, and this is the white w/ violet stripe wire at the connector on the HVAC panel on the manual temp ( vs the EATC HVAC ).

The switch in any of the positions, powers the Brown w/ Orange stripe wire wire to the blower relay ( by the flasher in the relay block under the dash by the steering wheel column, usually covered in black tape from the factory ).

The blower relay powers the blower motor resistor, to know what speed to run at, this is powered from the engine fuse panel, fuse #105 ( 40A ).

If you do not have power on the white w/ violet stripe wire at the back of the HVAC switch panel, you need to meter both sides of fuse #22, to confirm power is through the fuse.

I have a 2006 Grand vitara and the A/C or Heater does not blow air. What part is responisble for this.

FIRST CHECK HVAC FUSE AND BLOWER MOTOR FUSE AND RELAY.IF BOTH CHECK OUT OKAY PROBLEM COULD BE HVAC CONTROL SWITCH OR MODULE OR THE BLOWER MOTOR IS BAD.TO KEEP FROM SPENDING ALOT OF MONEY.THE HVAC CONTROL MODULE CONTROL SWITCH VERY EXPENSIVE.IT COULD COST $300.00 TO $400.00 DOLLARS.WHAT I WOULD DO IS REMOVE BLOWER MOTOR IN THE LEFT REAR TRIM PANEL.HOT WIRE TO BATTERY USING JUMPER WIRES.IF BLOWER MOTOR RUNS ITS THE HVAC SWITCH.IF BLOWER MOTOR DONT RUN REPLACE IT.IF THE HVAC IS BAD BEST FOR DEALERSHIP TO CHECK IT OUT.BECAUSE YOUR DASH HAS AIR BAGS IN IT. WHICH WOULD BE DANGEROUS.

What size fuse does the heater take?

The Blower itself is a 40A in the Engine compartment fuse panel, Fuse # 105. This is to the blower motor relay ( under the dash with the flasher relay ), to power the blower motor.

The function selector panel for the manual HVAC version is the cab fuse panel, fuse # 22, 10A.

The blend door actuator is cab fuse panel, Fuse # 5, 15A

AC fuses are seperate fuses from these.

If you did not get an owners manual with your truck ( purchased used ), you can download one from Ford :
