None of this works on a 2005 civic keys locked in trunk manuel trunk pull is locked and back seats only fold down with the key to open them so what did I do remove the plastic cover in the drivers side where the locked manuel latch is find the trunk pop cable and pull ups it until it pops the trunk latch took 2 min
You can get to the latch through the trunk. In the trunk, pull the liner away from the area adjacent to the fuel door. You'll see a black cable that goes to the fuel door latch behind a metal frame. Reach in and turn the latch mount 90 degrees to release it from the fuel door frame. Your fuel door will now be open. You will need to repair or replace the cable, but at least you'll be able to fuel up for now.

For a fix, look at this low cost solution: http://www.instructables.com/id/Fix-Broken-Fuel-Door-Cable-on-Honda-Civic-82170/
with your trunk open remove the clips securing the carpet on the side wall of your trunk. (the side that the gas filler is on.) pull back the carpet and you will see the cable and lock for the fuel door. if you twist the inner lock that the cable is connected to you will be able to pull it out and release the fuel door.- hope this helps
On the floor driver side there is a compartment for a key just where the latch is to open your trunk. put ignition key in and turn it . should open for you. ..............good luck
The release cable is sticking or broken. To release the fuel door, open the trunk and pull off the fabric liner on the left side of the trunk. Behind this liner is the fuel door release cable; this cable leads to the fuel door and attaches with a twist-lock connector. It is cylindrical with two tabs. Twist the connector clockwise about 90 degrees and it should pull out, releasing the door.
Just remember, the fuel door will not stay closed until you put the connector back in.
The driver's side door lock button is designed not to lock from the inside unless the handle is pulled, or the power switch is used. This serves as a reminder to not lock your keys inside.
If you are inside, and push down on the button (not the switch) hard enough to lock it, you've probably damaged it.
