SOURCE: fuel pressure regulator had no vacuum line connected

another engineers wet dream. think of it this way . what is normally in the intake when the engine is running.. answer vacume, hence the regulator gets its vacume without a hose connected to it as its already in a full time vacume chamber.no hose required . ps be carefull to seat the regulator and o rings securely into the housing befor you reattach the secureing metal clip.
good luck chris

1998 dodge stratus stalls while driving if gas tank is half empty

You need to check fuel pressure carefully. This happens when tank is so full of dirt that the pump screen gets clogged. After sitting down several minutes, some of the dirt settles and the car can be restarted, but happens again. Refrain from starting to change every sensor without knowing what is the real cause, because you could be thowing money and not fixing it. Aldo check pressure regulator is functioning correctly. You need to get the engine trouble codes by performing the "keydance" or using a code reader, then start checking fuel pressure at pump and regulator. Best luck. Amclaussen.
