Clutch

The new clutch assembly will be available from any Land Rover shop but be sure to quote the Chassis number. Replacing the unit is straightforward but not a job for anyone without a hoist and some basic knowledge of these assemblies, also a spline alignment tool. If you must do it yourself, get a copy of the workshop manual and follow the instructions carefully. Honestly, by the time you mess around with it, it will be cheaper to go to a Land Rover specialist (not a dealer) and get it done professionally

Car won t move in any gear

Did you also replace the pressure plate? Pilot bearing? If you replaced the clutch...and the car moved, and then stopped moving again...your issue is likely right there, bad pressure plate, flywheel may need resurfaced or replaced ETC. I am curious to know what the old clutch disc looked like when you took it out. Was it glazed or worn? I would pull the tranny again, and look at the new disc to see if it is glazed looking from slipping...and note if it is both sides, or one side, and which side...plate side or flywheel side. If you didn't replace the pressure plate/pilot bearing with the clutch disc...I would do that.

I have a 1999 dodge ram 1500 when you push the clutch in all the way there is a grinding noise and tough to engage into gear and there is a high pitched squeeling noise that comes and goes as the pedal...

you need to replce the cluch and preasure plate. the clutch is gone, its hard to shift because there is nothing left to pushout on the plate and the squeeling is from the same problem, the clutch works like brakes, when the pads are gone and you step on brake you get asqeeling sound from it being metal to metal the same thing is happening with your clutch

the only thing that you can do is just be easy on it and avoid fast accelaration ..the less you allow it to slip the longer you can prolong it ..so just baby it for now

Have you checked if the clutch is alright or if it's an auto maybe it needs the auto transmission fluid changed and the filter cleaned.

Clutch bites high up on pedal movement

check clutch master cylinder rod adjustment and pedal height should be just higher than brake pedal. could try and bleed system also.
most hydraulic clutch systems have high take up points, adjust master cylinder rod, check for free play at top after adjusting if all that is O.K. then clutch plate may be nearly worn out but not slipping at this stage.

2004 Dodge 1500 4x4 with 4.7 V8 getting hot. Replaced therm, water pump and tested Radiator. Still gets hot very quick. The water is cycling thru block, but not coming back into overflow when getting hot....

Do you have anti freeze in it? did you replce the radiator cap? is the fan clutch good? is the AC condensor full of bugs and the radiator? are you low on transmisson fluid? or Motor oil? all these will cause it to get hot.
