Question about 2001 Toyota Sienna

1 Answer

A/C not working

Where is the a/c fuse located on 2008 sienna van. The a/c switch light comes on when pushed but the compressor never engages. Is there a fuse for the compressor and where is it located? When the a/c switch is pressed the Air Conditioner light on the switch comes on, but the cooling fans do not come. I have not checked the fuse as it seems like you have to open the front panel to access it. But also, I believe (not sure) that if the a/s light is on then the fuse is ok. Is it the a/c recharge issue or something else

If the light is on it is most likly to be low on freon and/or it has bad pressure switch. you need to keep under the hood area. that is where you will find your problem.

Does a 2008 Toyota sienna have a fuse for front washer pump

Yes there are two fuse blocks on the van. One in the engine compartment and the other under lower dash panel fronting driver. Use a circuit light tester to probe the power terminal on the washer pump first to determine if you have power coming there when you turn on rear washer pump switch. You will need another person to help. Rear pumps fail often because of the lack of usage

Locate and check the fuse, check clutch switch, che k vacuum hoses, and vehicle speed sensor and throttle linkage. Hope that helps.

I checked all the fuses. No fuses are blown. The battery is fully charged & the electrical, lights, & radio all work fine. The 2004 Toyota Sienna van still doesn't even turn

Can be a bad contact in one of the cables. A bad contact in a switch or electronic switch. a bad relay, and a dozen other causes.
Please start measuring to where the power comes and where it stops. You are close to the car, we are not. For a correct diagnose use a multimeter and look under the hood.

2008 sienna, How do you check a fuel pump with no test port for fuel pressure check on the vehicle.

No solution here, but wondering what your next step was...I think the same thing happened to me, but wanted to check the fuse at least before I have my van towed to some mechanic in Italy. Did you locate the fuse? Which box and was it labeled something other than fuel pump?

Test the switch itself. If the switch is providing continuity look to the A/C control module for your Venture.

A/c compressor not engaging 2008 caravan

First thing is to check the a/c fuse and relay under the hood in the power panel. Remove the cover to panel and look inside the panel for the correct location to fuse and relay. If this checks out good then look on the passanger side of van for the a/c accumilator and you will find a low pressure valve on accumilator, remove plug in from the valve and using a jumper wire jump across the plug. if the a/c compressor clutch engauges then you have either low freon or the switch is bad. Make sure the engine is running and the a/c and blower fan is on during this test. Look for any leaks on the a/c system as well. Hope this will help you.

I was towing a trailer and a loose strap broke a tail light on my trailer. now my signal lights on my van won't work and i can't find the fuse. the manual isn't clear enough to locate it.

Your best alternative is to pull each fuse one at a time visually check them and put them back in their original location if they are ok

Can't find the spare for my 2004 toyaota sienna?

If you have the standard tires on the van the spare is located under the van about center. If the van came with "run flat" tires, there is no spare.

2003 Sienna tail lights don't work when headlights are on

Look under the dashboard, next to/above the park brake pedal, for the interior fuse box. It has a black plastic cover. Remove the TAIL fuse, and see if it is blown. This should get you fixed up. Hope this helps, and Thanks for choosing FixYa.
