Question about 1985 Chevrolet Caprice
What engine of other cars could fit in Chevy caprice 85?
i'm planing to buy a new engine, but i think i could custom it with a new engine that would fit with the car!!
lets talk about it :)
Every small block from 55-87 are the same size and should not need any modification to make it work. If it's fuel injected that's a different story even the gauges may need to be changed out. If carbuerated you should have no trouble.

Any small block chevy engine from the same year or earlier will bolt right in

The 305, 327, 350 would fit with out a problem, and should bolt right up with the excisting engine mounts.
