Something else is the problem because it is impossible to get air in the fuel system and have it not start. Look to see what you might have knocked off or broke while changing the filter.

SOURCE: oil change light

Turn the key on. Observe the odometer. Is "ODO" displayed? If not, push the trip meter button until "ODO" is displayed, with the total mileage travelled shown.
Turn the key off.
Push & HOLD the trip reset button until advised to release it.
Turn the key to "ON" (do not start engine)
Observe the ODO display.
You should see 5 dashes, then 4, then 3, then 2, then one, and finally, five zeros.
The original mileage that you observed should be redisplayed.
Release the trip reset button.
The proceedure is now complete.

SOURCE: changed fuel filter now car wont start

Just checking, but did you install it with the arrow pointing to the engine? Take it off and try blowing through it, if you can't then it's plugged up and you need to get another. If you can blow through it, then it's something else.

my toyota corolla d4d 2.0 fuel filter light keeps coming on. when this happens it is my understanding that
the car may not start, it does not pick up speed and there could be a leakage of fuel. but none of this is happening everything seems fine

I have a 2006 d4d toyota landcruiser that wont start . it has been lyning up for two years now . when u try to start it with key it wil try to run for a spilt second but just cut out . we tryed to pull...

the D4D ENGINE on Toyota Landcruiser has electronic injectors common rail engine and there is the possibility for gummed injectors and also but quality of diesel fuel in tank. Change the fuel and filter, and also a fuel treatment additive to be use as soon as started. and remember for good also treatment with cleaning use 250ml 2-stroke oil in a tank full of fuel and carry on with this for a month filling. Tank full to empty position and then use 2-stroke every time

Hi, I own a 3.0 d4d toyota fortuner (same engine as 3.0 d4d hilux) and as of yesterday it started belching white smoke. it starts and idles perfectly fine, the exhaust just smells off. not like unburnt...

White smoke on diesel engines, means water in combustion chamber. Blue smoke means oil.
In what condition was the filter you removed? How bad? Temperature issues? Missing coolant maybe? If yes, you might as well have an internal leak. Some gasket maybe. Check all you vital fluids levels. If anything missing, take the time to empty the engine oil on a can, and check the colour. If it will look like chocolate brown, then you do have a leak from the inside.

1994 F350 WILL NOT START

you simply have to bleed the fuel lines...

to do that just loose up the line and have someone rotate the engine until you have some fuel going there...

make sure that your fuel filter is full because you will do this for nothing...

it should only take like 5 minutes of bleeding...
