This is normal the power antenna gets power from the radio and unless the radio is shut off either from powering it down or turning off the car it will stay up. if it is an aftermarket stereo and is staying up when you are on cd's check to make sure that your antenna is hooked to the antenna output on the radio and not the system remote as the system remote is hot any time the radio is powered to run amplifiers.

oh ok i read it wrong the first time. yes they should go down when you go to cd or turn the radio off there is no relay in these systems the antenna itself has to have power to stay up when it loses signal power it will go down but there is a fuse in the system if it is factory it will be in the fuse box. if the fuse is ok you probably have a problem with the antenna.

What cuin, hp, trq, bore&stroke for this small blk 1995 chevrolet impala ss. casting #43006 below sg1 below h294. stamped #1sr177932 please

I don't think you have anything that will help in your search.
The 95 Impala SS came with a 350 cu in engine stock. The VIN code was P and the horsepower rating was 260. The casting number for that block would be something like 10199001 or 14101148. After 1970 GM started stamping a partial vin number on the blocks to match the original car. If you had the original car you could check the 8th digit of the VIN to verify the engine.

HOW DO I CHANGE the power antenna on a 1995 chevy impala ss

I will assume its in the trunk? Either way, VERY easy to change! Remove the inside trunk panel to expose the motor. there may be one or two nuts holding it in place! First disconnect the power wire plug. then remove the one or two nuts, holding it in place. Last unscrew the ring on top and it should drop right into your trunk. Install in reverse order. IF its in your front fender, you may be able to get to it from the wheel well. You would have to remove the splash guard from the outside part of fender!

Dash lights may be adjusted to lowest dim setting. Try adjusting dash lights by turning knob if so equipped clockwise or if it has a dial move it upward.

I HAVE A 95 CHEVY SS IMPALA LT1...SOME DAYS IT START AND SOME DAYS IT WON'T...MY WATER PUMP IS LEAKING...DO U THINK WATER IS GETTING TO THE DISTRIBUTOR SHORTENING IT. WHEN IT DO START AFTER IT WARMS...

this sounds like it could be the water pump causing the problem as it is a common problem with this set up.when the water pump is being changed have the distributor cap, rotor, and wires replaced and have the distributor itself checked for damage caused by the pump leak.

1995 chevy impala ss won't go in reverse

This is usually a pressure problem. Reverse takes more pressure than any other gear. Either worn, old o-rings or front pump.
