I turn the key almost all the way down to start; the stater will not stop

You have problem with your fuel system. Lots of problems to trace. Like your fuel pump defective, filter dirty. air filter dirty. Lose compression if your car and truck is old. If your using gasoline contact point, spark plug, no high voltage, timing fuel filter dirty, and carburetor need to be clean. In diesel, fuel supply, glow plug, pump need to calibrate or replace, dirty pipes, dirty filter, air in the diesel and timing

My 1985 Ford Ranger is having a hard time starting. I noticed gas leaking from the carburetor. Any suggestion?

Your carburetor probably needs rebuilt. Being that old, it may be gummed up, plugged, or otherwise just worn out. If you can, take it out and take it to your local repair shop, or even an AutoZone for advice on taking it apart. It is too intricate to explain via email.

I can hear a hissing noise coming from the brake pedal on my 2002 Ford Escape. Its been there for a little while. Sometimes the brakes doesn't work properly, it feels a little spongy sometimes. But usually...

It sounds like the rubber diaphragm in the brake booster has developed a leak producing the hissing / sucking noise. The only option is to replace the booster as a complete assembly as they need specialist tools to repair. If the booster fails completely you will still have brakes but the pedal will be very hard and it will take a lot of muscle power to stop vehicle. Best to have booster replced soon before you experience situation described above.

2001 ford escape has very little power and sounds like it is sucking air? what could it be?

sounds like you have a bad vacuum leak. Look under the hood and listen to where the hiss or sucking sound maybe coming from. Use your hands and move the vacuum hoses around a little and hear for louder sound. It's hard to pinpoint the exact vacuum hose but there's only a few.

Can 1985 f-150 tailgate fit on a 1990 f-150

Probably will. The models really changed significantly in 1993. Models for 1984 to 1992 were pretty much the same. Suggest you measure everything on both to make sure. They are not hard to remover/replace.
