no you will bend valves if not carefull. you can only turn over from crankshaft if timing marks were in correct position in first place.

Hello carolnaes: My name is Roger and I will help. The picture of the timing marks are attached. I will caution though that Mitchell repair calls this a interference motor. Meaning if the engine turns over with the belt off. The valves of the engine can and may be damaged. I also checked All Data and they said it could possible cause valve damage.
