SOURCE: Battery for 1997 Mazda 323 Astina 5dr hatch

It's fine to use a battery with a higher cold crank rating than original. Consider the rating in the manual to be a minimum requirement. You'll be fine as long as the physical dimensions and terminal placement are compatible with your car. The battery manufacturer's guide should tell you which battery fits your car.

SOURCE: cranks but won't start fuel pump not coming on

put a small amount of fuel in the intake near the throttle plate then crank and see if it fires, if it does then it's a fuel problem, if it does not fire then pull a plug wire and put a philips head screw driver into the plug wire hold it 1/4 inch away from a good ground then have someone crank it over, you should see spark and it should be blue, if not then you have a ignition problem a bad coil or cam sensor but need to know what you found out on the two tests I told you first to give you a direction to go.

SOURCE: My car (Mazda 323 2000cc Diesel) will not start.

ck you bat but youll probably find its your glow plugs.these are set in the head and usualy have a wire going to them.check with ohm meter.one termenal to the plug where the wire attaches the other to ground. there sould be no resistance for they are basicly a direct short to create heat that warms the air for initial start up.replace any that dont make contact with ground

Mazda 1990 323 1.8L LX, 5 minutes after the start up she stop no way tos restart again only when sitting about 1/2 hours start again but stop....

Start by having the charging system checked, unless the car engine spins but doesnt start,if it spins over and wont start then it not the charging system, when the car dies check for spark, remove a sparkplug wire insert a screwdriver in boot and place 1/4 inch near metal and crank engine and see if theres spark, this will help pin point your problem if theres spark then the next thing to do would be to spray starting fluid in throttlebody and see if it starts, hope this helps let me know the results.

1989 323 engine turns over but no spark

Theres more than one reason. The timing belt could have stripped and the dist. and the cam arent turning. Power to the coil could have failed ingtion fuse blown. Power to the engine control computer could have failed and the check engine light is'nt on with the key on but not running. Pulling codes with a scanner may find other problems like no crank sense or no ingtion power while cranking. Did the car stop running while driving or did'nt it just not start? The engine was cold when you last checked for spark?

My mazda car model 323 1993 did not start. i replaced the ignition coil but it will not start. there is gas in the carburetor.

pull one of the plug wires and find some way of grounding the wire without hurting yourself and have someone crank the car of there is no spark then its in the distributor or bad wires it sounds like a grounding issue don t think they used obd 1 systems then if your car has an obd 1 connection you be better ahead to have a friend who a reader tto check it for and it well dignostic tell you your prob

My 1989 mazda 323 wont start

Hi there
You may need to do a few more things: * Change Spark Plugs * Check HT Leads * Check Battery Voltage * Fuel Filter * Get a mechanic to check your Carb settings.
As i say this could be either one thing or the other but could be a combo of these.

I have the same car and i've worked on it alot so theres a few things you need to check out.
But if you repost on here please give me more details: ie, ill the starter crank,
