SOURCE: limp home mode

You need to scan for engine trouble codes. Most parts stores will do this for free, and tell you what they mean and make recommendations on what to do. The 'limp mode' kicks in to prevent damage to the vehicle when the computer gets data that something is wrong.. When you shut it off, it's temporarily reset, but then the cars computer is signaling there is still a problem, and it goes back into limp mode. P2006 is a Knock Sensor Code. What Octane Rated Gas are you using? Try Premium Grade Gasoline if you are not already doing so.

ENGINE CODES


Whenever engine fault codes set, VSC is disabled and lights come on. P0020 shows failing cam shaft position sensor , recommend replace clear codes and recheck. gas spill was coincidental.

have a shop do it

The intake runner is stuck closed,if you go by the code

I go by what I see & test things, before any parts get replaced

I think your sensors are pattern parts and the readings /resistances are not the same as the original parts ,try some bosch units is my first suggestion ,

my mustang had problems after i put an exhaust on it. if this is the case for you go down under your car it has 2 sensors up high on each exhaust pipe get the size then go down to an auto parts store and get some spark plug reducers and screw your o2 sensors into them and back into your exhaust

LIMP MODE


You will have to have the fault codes read and removed. If it is permanently in limp mode it may suggest another problem.
