Question about 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan
Hi - I have a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan - V6 - 108k miles. My rear lights remained on after I turned off the vehicle and removed my keys. I tried many different ways of turning on and off the headlights - with and without engine on, accessories power and without key in ignition. The only way to stop these lights from staying on was to remove the 20a "Stop Lamp" Fuse from teh fuse box. Luckily we do not need to drive this vehicle in the evening much as I just lost my job Monday (I'm sure many other people related to cars are also...my prayers go out) - but, now have a new perspective on DIY. I'm handy and have been changing my oil myself for years. I take care of minor problems, but I don't know where to begin with the electrical meter on where a short is at or if a relay, switch or what. Any advice and insights would be greatly appreciated. Regards, TimX416 TimX416@Ameritech.net
If its just the brake lights try turning on ign and seeing if hitting the brake makes the brake lights come on as normal either actually on or brighter if not its your brake light switch located on the actual pedal it may have been knocked getting into the car its just a ways up the pedal probably has 2 to 4 wires on it i had this problem in my sunfire i hit the switch when i first started wearing steel toed boots for work
