New clutch in Ford Escort wagon, new problems

I had a new clutch put into my 1994 Ford Escort wagon, and as far as I know, that is the only thing that was done. But when I got my car back, it feels like now I have almost no brakes, the steering seems stiffer even though I have power steering, and when I shift, I can hear every single click and clank. Also, shifting into reverse is really difficult now. The brakes and steering were fine before, it was just the clutch that needed to be replaced, so I don't know where these other problems are coming from?
Like the steering; the first time I went to drive when I got my car back, I went to back out of my parking spot and turn the wheel (I was parked on my street), and I kept backing up right into the other lane before the car would turn. Then I went down the street and tried to slow down and make a right turn, and the car didn't slow down at all when I pushed the brake pedal, and I had trouble turning. The shifting sucked.
What can I do?

I had it replaced by a friend of ours; he and his dad have a pretty complete shop setup of their own and have a good reputation for fixing vehicles. I checked the fluids, and they seem to be fine, so I don't know what to check next? I mentioned the problems to my friend and he said he'd look at the car again, but we haven't been able to get together yet.

where did you have the car repaired?

bring it back and have them fix it. seems they have mess up the clutch, brake and steering. check the fluid level first, make sure they are the right fluid, brake and clutch use the same fluid and steering is different.

Have your friend flush all 3 components and fill the correct fluid.

Take it to a real mechanic. The last guy must have been a parts re-placer and messed up other components.

1. Have a look around the starter area, maybe something was left disconnected.
2. Check the fuses, maybe you have a couple blown out.

Need to find a part number for the flasher switch in 1994 ford escort wagon.

it wont neccasarily have a part number, you can go to the autoparts store and tell them what you need and they'll pull it off the shelf, matching factory numbers to new parts dont mean a thing these days, everystore has its own part number system.some use the same numbers some dont, hope this helps ya.

has it been gradually getting worse or just all of a sudden? Also, do you see any liquid at the bellhousing of the trans? If so, you have leaking slave cylinder.
