Hi, I have a problem with my BMW 318i (M43 engine). On high revolutions engine starts to convulse. What can be reason?

Its sounds like the air pipe from the throttle body is leaking, does it tend to jump and **** when you hard accelerate? I had the same car but the M42 engine found a tear in my air pipe on the underside. also if you can get someone to sit in the car with the bonnet up and pull back and forth to see if the engine mount is loose, as this is sometimes the cause for the split in the pipe. Check all your air pipes if its not that then it may need a new air mass meter or sensor. It sounds air related.

Left brake light not getting power to it replaced

Hi,
The problem is electrical connection to the light bulbs. You need to open the fusebox in the bonnet and let the motor electrician check which one of them is blown. This is not a major issue except for driving especially at night as long as the brake itself is working fine. You might just need to use your hand as a "traficator" meantime.

Hi have you found your problem yet? I've replaced all the intake rubber air pipes around the head & replaced the 2 small rubber fuel seals inside the fuel pressure regulator. I'll be interested in your reply.

Oily smoke/mist coming from under bonnet from large pipe feed

That is the R12 Refrigerant from the AC System. A Seal has Blown out of the AC Compressor. You should be ok driving to a Garage , Just keep the air off and watch it Close.
