Question about 2000 Lincoln LS
Is it the alt. or battery
Check the drive belt for condition and tension. have the alternator out put checked by an accredited auto electrician. Have a load test done on the battery to check for dead cell

You could have a bad connection somewhere. Possibly on the alternator. You also may have a bad ground somwhere. Hope this helps any

change the drive belt and have the voltage regulator in the back of the alternator checked out and also check for any draws on the car anywhere cause this can cause the alternator to over charge trying to keep the battery charged up
