2003 Nissan sentra spec-V Ser

Of coarse the problems stop when is start the video then start up again not 20 seconds after I started driving. I ended up unplugging the black box because It was buzzing for a solid hour before I got fed up and took it out, if anyone even knows what it is for or might I would be so grateful

Ok so first and foremost, that black box should be the daytime running lamp control unit. So if it is buzzing it probably needs replacing, and if you modified/changed your headlights for aftermarket HIDs, it might have burnt out the control unit over time. Second, the idle problem you describe is in most cases and many cars due to a faulty/dirty Idle Air Control unit, which adjusts the air bypass to regulate the idle on the engine. The unit is usually located on the throttle body and looks like a little electric motor. And also usually IS a motor, or a solenoid with a little plunger. Remove it, check for carbon deposits on the control unit plunger and the hole where it sits. If any, clean everything up nicely with a brush and parts cleaner if needed, and in some cases, the control unit will need replacing as all the carbon has buffed the shaft/plunger and makes it jam cause it's too loose. Hope this helps :)

I have a 2003 Nissan Sentra SER SPEC-V and have done all my own work. When the battery was replaced, was the Positive battery terminal taken off first, before the negative terminal? whenever doing work on a car with a ECM, the rule is: Negative terminal is ALWAYS taken off first, then the positive terminal. After changing battery, the positive terminal is put on first and then the negative terminal is put on last. I am not saying that you have an ECM problem but they can be damaged if you take off the positive terminal first.
Do you have any "check Engine Light" code issues? If you do, and you have access to an OBD2 code reader, check if any trouble codes come up. If you do not have access to one, you can go to an Auto Zone or other parts outlet and they will read it for free. Confirm that you have or do not have any Trouble codes. Let me know what you find out.

Can I use 10W30 oil in my 2003 sentra ser spec v?

you can use anything you want
however, 5w30 is advised by Nissan
limitations is that 10w30 will be thicker in the winter and may cause harder starting and/or bearing failure due to lack of oil on start up

but depending on how many miles you already have.... 10w30 should not be a big deal!!!

I have a 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R and the engine keeps sputtering while i am driving and the diagnostic pulled the P0335 code indicating that my CKP is malfunctioning but i just replaced it and it is doing...

Note - not a solution..just adding my woes!
I drive a 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V.
My car suddenly stalled 1 day and the engine wouldn\'t turn over. Brought it to my mechanic and had the Camshaft position sensor replaced by my mechanic. The car ran fine for about 2 weeks and then the light was back on with the initial symptoms.

Took the car into the dealership and they diagnosed it again as P0335. Said that the mechanic hadn\'t installed the sensor correctly. Charged me a bunch of money to replace the thing and not too long ago the check engine light is on. The Revs bounce around everywhere. Checked the code again and it\'s P0335 yet again! Am in talks with the dealership to get to the bottom of this...

I have a 06 sentra ser spec v and i have a spare key and i started it with the spare cause i dont have the original, would that cause my car not to start up again?

Some spare keys are "valet" keys and dont send an electronic signal to your ignition telling your car to start like a normal key would. Sometimes this can temporarily disable your vehicle.

Nissan Almera 52 plate. not starting when it stalls.

One of the items you can try is to turn on the ignition switch, so the dash board lights come on, and wait 10 seconds before you start the engine. You have an electric fuel pump and it must build up pressure so you have the correct volume of fuel going to the fuel injectors. The fuel from the fuel pump goes to the fuel rail that supplies fuel to the fuel injectors. There is a pressure regulator to keep the fuel at the proper pressure. The excess fuel is then returned to the gas tank. On my 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R SPEC V, I had similar problems. By waiting this amount of time I have ensured the pressure was up in the fuel delivery system and it was working as designed. I may have a bad check valve which then allows the gas to drain from the fuel rail, but I have not gotten this far yet in my own repair. This has allowed my car to start and not flood out, if it stalls as I had seen before. You may be experiencing the samething.

If your check engine light is on, you may have fouled spark plugs, check these out also, especially if you are seeing cylinder misfire in one or more cylinders.
