SOURCE: i need a wiring diagram for a 2006 BMW 325i

the connection at rear pass side was probably a battery switch installed from factory to turn main power on and off while vehicle sat on the lot it is a 2 pin connection also the other end is in the trunk beside the batterys ibs connection on the same harness, try disconnection the battery compleatly and touching the pos and neg terminals together for 15 to 20 min this is called a hard reset and possibly could solve this issue

SOURCE: 99 Ford Escort ZX2 Speedometer/Odometer doesn't work

I'm sorry, I have to ask, this is an automatic right? That out of the way, Does the trans shift different when you drove it with the Vss unplugged when you had the ohm meter on it? 8.5 volts? Something sounds wrong here. I'll have to look up the wiring diagram before I can say thats a bad reading but it should be battery voltage (14 volts running) or 5 volts?

How do u jump start BMW without being able to get to battery

Hi Ricky

Under the bonnet/Hood you should see a red cap thing with a + sign on it, this is the possessive to the battery lift off the cap and there should be what looks like a brass looking bolt connect red live jump lead to this, and the earth wire can connect to any ware under the bonnet/hood where it will make a ground, some also have a black thing with a - on it just connect the earth/black jumper to that and then you can jump start hope that helps

Trying to jump start a 2006 750 Li BMW. Lights turned on after 40mins but car still won't start. Dashboard help screen says engine malfunction due to reduced power.

the ground wire needs to go to a better ground then the strut bolt. find a better thick piece of steel on the engine to ground. those cables look very thin. It should start right away not after 40min. your boosting not charging the battery. if you cant get it started with a better ground location try a thicker set of cables and make sure the other car is running. if this fails your battery needs to be replaced

1994 BMW 740i with 222,000 turns over but won't start. Removed battery, had it tested and it's good; radio, lights, windows all working fine. Driving the car on Friday, went to start it on...

Hi.

If it does turn over and electrical works, then the problem is unlikely the battery. You can try jump starting. If it cranks when jump-starting it may be a weak battery, starter motor or alternator, but I don't think that this is the problem.

Check if there is spark on all cylinders. Do a code scanning (this car is OBD1, you will need to do the scan at the dealer place or to find a BMW OBD1 tool- Universal OBD2 scanner will not work on a 1994 BMW). If the codes return misfire or mixture related errors check fuel pressure, check sensors and parts that determine the mixture (MAF/MAP, AIT, O2 sensors, IAC and EGR system), check the vacuum system for leaks and check the crank sensor.

Regards.

1998 BMW 740i - I had a brake light out, replaced it, it won't

check where the wires go from the inside of the body to the out around the gromet. I did run into one that the wires rubbed. Also if the light are on the trunk lid check where they go through the trunk latch.
