If you dont have a code to put in then take your car and your ownership papers to your local bmw dealership and they will be able to get the code from bmw and put it in for you, they might charge you for this though

Inputted incorrect radio code and now the digital display says code waiting. I now have the correct radio code - now what do I do?

may have to power it down---such as remove all power from the radio, wait a while and try again. If that doesn't work, I've heard that you have to wait up to six hours with the power ON and then retry. On the 318i the wait is about 90 min.

My radio says "code wait"

Hi Robin,

You will need to leave the ignition on for 1 hour continuously. After 1 hour you can enter your radio code.

Landrover cassette display appear "SAFE" This cassette model is XQE500550.How can fix safe mode.

If you have the correct radio code for the unit, just wait about an hour with the power on in the radio. The screen will eventually display (code) or (enter code) follow the directions in your radio manual to enter the code and the radio will be operational again. The safe mode is on because either the radio fuse blew, the battery was too low on charge or the radio was momentarilly disconnected from it's power source. Most common is low battery voltage. Charge your vehicle battery, locate the radio code, wait till radio displays CODE and enter the code an have happy tunes again.

Car Radio

Have you the right code?

If you have, just keep your radio on so long when it says "code" then enter the right code.

I have same problem but I can't wait so long time. So I took the radio out and connect it to 12V power supply.
Turn the radio on and slept one night. At morning I enter to the Radio the right code =) and radio start working again.

I thing that code system of radios is quite stupid.
