Is it not starting because there is no spark? or is it not starting because of no fuel? Check for spark by removing a spark plug wire. Put an old spark plug in the wire and place the spark plug on a ground. Turn the engine over and observe if the plug has spark.

If there is spark then turn the key off. Reinstall the spark plug wire. Wait a few minutes then move the key to the first notch in starting. Listen for the fuel pump. if you dont hear the fuel pump investigate whether the pump is working or not.

If you hear the pump, then you should investigate if the fuel is getting to the engine.

I couldn't find anything online about the filter location but if it's like all the other Ford trucks I've worked on, it is located in the fuel line mounted to the frame on the drivers side of the car.  Ford has a special tool you can get from any auto parts store to brake the seal between the line and filter.  Seems like it should be easy but always takes twice as long as I think it should to get the things off.

Ford 2001 f250 v10, ran out of gas, filled tank and still won't start

check for fuel pressure at fuel rail if no pressure or low pressure check and change fuel filter while ya have it off or it could be relay switch that would be the least expensive place to start good luck

My 2007 7.3 sputters

I would like to know what happened first oil and filterchange or the truck started to act up first, However Check and make sure the fuel cap is vented properly first and then check the filter cap is not leaking . It could getting air in or the fuel pump could be going bad . $169 .00 for the generic pump. Good luck

2005 F250 6.0 hard/no start.

Check the connections under the FICM. (fuel injection control module) It is on top of the left valve cover. It is the big silver flat box. There is 3 connectors underneath that should be "clicked" onto the module. Do this with the key off as there is a very high voltage there.

Hard Starting in morning

Do mean you have hard time communicating with a scanner at the OBDII connector, if so make sure you power at pin16 at diagnostic connector, also we have seen issue with glowplugs not working properly causing hard start when cold and starts fine after warm-up
You can check for glowplugs operation at initial key-of before cranking by checking for voltage at each glowplug connector with a multimeter.
