It could be your abs sensor that is messing up with your traction control system and the cruise control I hope that helps

SOURCE: 2006 tribeca same problem

The problem is a 7.5amp fuse in the fuse box under the hood labeled "EBR+1" or something like that. Replace that fuse and the problem should disappear.

Take the car to Autozone or similar business for a free code read with a scanner. Depending on what turns up, they will be happy to sell you any needed parts.

Why does the traction control light turn on and stay on when I start the engine?

traction control and abs units both use the same wheel sensors
check for problem wires
run the fault codes to check for other areas and faults.

Check engine light on traction control light on cruise light blinking whats wrong?

When you have a check engine light come on, the traction control light and the cruise lights both come on as well. You need to have the codes checked with a scanner. There most likely isn't a problem with the traction control or cruise systems, the lights turn on because those systems work together with the engine management system or PCM. When there is an engine problem that sets a code that turns on the check engine light, it automatically disables the cruise control and traction control for safety reasons. Because the last thing you want is to have an issue with traction control and/or cruise control if your engine is having an issue, which is why they are disabled. The most common problem that turns on the check engine light is a loose, cross-threaded, or snug but not tight enough fuel filler cap. Subaru recommends three clicks of the cap to be considered tight. Also, any parts store can and will check and/or clear codes for free. I hope this info helps!

Why would engine light, cruise control and abs light come on?

hello,do post your DTC'S,(diagnostic trouble codes) and may be i can help.many modern vehicles spring up a multitude of warning icon's on the dashboard, much to the alarm of it's owner, however, often it can be as simple as a dirty wheel speed sensor, which fails to provide the necessary information to the main (ABS/TRACTION control unit) and so then will inhibit the cruise control,as naturally it's unable to ascertain road wheel speed, and also throw up the engine management light,as the braking/traction control systems unable to supply correct information to the main engine computer(ECU,OR PCM) electronic control unit/power control module. hope this helps, but please supply any further information that you can, regarding your DTC'S, that are read out,try to get a full print off,if at all possible, cheers.

My cruise control lights and everything work, but it wont set speed and hold that speed, or anything. all fuses are good

Suggest 2 basic checks:
1. check engine light on? Some severe codes may also disable cruise control (and traction control, etc.).
2. make sure your break lights aren't on. The switch on the break pedal controls the break lights, AND cancels cruise.
