Question about 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan

1 Answer

2001 Dodge Grand Caravan will not pass inspection because of the exhaust system. I had a (code P0134) sensor replaced, but it continues to turn on the engine lite on. What else could I do or look for

It is a all wheel drive. Being it is the only 100% computerized Van, I have had nothing but trouble with it. A light has been on for five years, for something or another. I even had to put in a new bulb for the engine lite. The paper states everything passes, but it still throws the P0134 code out.

Would replacing the fuel filter help? It isn't running rough nor sluggish and the gas mileage hasn't changed, that I can tell.

SOURCE: 2001 dodge durango 4.7liter 4x4 i replaced front

bank 1 sensor 2 is the left downstream sensor (1/2) is located in the exhaust downpipe just after the mini-catalytic convertor, and before the main catalytic convertor. Now the meaning of this is that your not getting any 12+/12- heating on sensor, which means voltage is supplied to heat sensor up. You have a O2 sensor heater relay, but not getting problem with 2/2 sensor tells me you need to check/inspect the wiring for 1/2 sensor, open wiring for 1/2 sensor and inspect

P2097 Error code in 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan, which O2 Sensor?

actually there are 4 sensors. one on each exhaust manifold and then as you said one prior and aft the catalytic convertor. this is saying it is reading too rich a reading. check the condition of your spark plugs. you need to pin point the reason. chances are it is not the o2 sensor. happy holidays

P0134 Error Code

The code refers to an oxygen sensor that is no longer detecting changes in fuel delivery by way of sensing exhaust oxygen content. Bank 1, sensor 1, tells you which sensor is bad, in this case, it's the sensor that is mounted before the catalytic converter, on the rear bank of cylinders as you look into the engine compartment. It would really be a good idea to change both pre-cat O2 sensors at this point as they are both twelve years old.

2001 Chevy Venture 92K miles - code P0134

dunno bout rotating the engine to put those plugs in, but the O2 sensor is right in the way as your arm is stuffed up behind the engine (plugs have to be done from below at the back) so I wouldnt be shocked if you found a disconnected O2 sensor that was never reconnected, or a damaged wiring loom from rough contact with the mechanic's arm. Those plugs are very hard to change so go easy on the guy!
