Most compact cars have a small radio as well..may need to make a plastic case to mount this in..or remove the center cup holder or ashtray and put it there.

Lexus problems

I've had this problem in the past and it's down to 2 possibilities. 1 is the radio controls on the steering wheel sticking or shorting , especially when turning the steering wheel if your automobile has radio controls on the steering wheel. 2 the radio has a shorted circuit board on the back of the radio face.

I am tryin to remove the factory radio from a 2000 Nissan Altima and install an aftermarket radio. but i cant seem to figure out a way to get the trim panel around the radio and HVAC module out. And i can...

  • disconnect the negative battery cable from the Altima's battery.

  • 2

Pry up the trim panel surrounding the gear stick. The trip panel is held in place by plastic clips that will disengage when the panel is pried up. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry up the panel. The panel doesn't need to be completely removed, just pried up enough to reveal two Phillips screws along the bottom of the radio trim panel.

  • 3

Remove the two Phillips screws along the bottom edge of the radio trim panel, just above the gear stick. Remove the two Phillips screws from above the radio. Remove the ashtray.

  • 4

Pry the radio trim panel loose with your fingers or a flat-head screwdriver and remove it.

  • 5

Remove the four Phillips screws holding the radio in place. Set the screws aside for use later. Slide the radio forward and disconnect the wires from the back of the device.

  • 6

Slide the cage included with your new stereo into your dash adapter. Slide the stereo into the cage and dash adapter.

  • 7

Connect the wires from the dash to the back of your new stereo. All stereos have slightly different connections methods, so refer to the owner's manual accompanying your new stereo for the proper connection procedure.

  • 8

Slide the stereo and dash adapter into the dashboard. Use the previously removed Phillips screws to mount the stereo in place. Replace the radio trim panel and gear stick trim panel. Reconnect your battery.

  • If you are putting a aftermarket stero make sure you buy a stero harness that plugs into the cars harness, on the back side of the harness you just installed will have open wires to conet to your new stero. If you cut the wires from your car to try to splice it to the new raido it can cause problems with the electrical system includeing making the transmission shift or act funny. you can pick the harness at wall-mart, car auido, best buy, or any car auido place.

My am radio works but my fm radio dosen't, Can it be a fuse?

No, it is not a fuse. You need to find a replacement radio, ebay and junkyards are good places to find them cheap. Stick with one which looks like yours and has the Jeep logo on it so your wiring will easily connect. Once you have a radio, take it to a car stereo place and they can put it in quickly and cheaply for you. They will try and sell you one which they got for free which they removed from another car, but they will want and arm and a leg for it so stick with ebay. And stick with a plain jane factory radio, if you go with a fancy one there will be a theft deterrent code which you will have to go to a dealer about.

I have a 2003 pontiac grand am the clock radio and radio have no display lite. How do i change the bulb cani do this myself

First make sure that is the only interior lighting that is not working. If there is anything else not working properly check the fuses. If that is the only light not functioning than I recommend replacing the radio; or take it to someone who is really good with electronics, because replacing the bulb yourself may be very frustrating with someone with no electronic experience!!

2002 wrangler gauges going out when i depress defrost switch

That definitely sounds like a short. If this started happening after the radio was installed, more likely than not, it's because they either spliced into the wrong wire or they nicked or cut the wire insulation, causing the short. You can look for yourself, just start at the defroster switch, and trace the wiring as far as you can go. Then do the same for the radio wiring. Somewhere along the line, you'll find the problem. Or take it back to Best Buy and make them fix the problem. I would advise caution on that though, as they can install a stereo, but that doesnt make them experts on automotive wiring. Best bet if you dont want to do it yourself, take the Jeep to a good garage or a dealer, have them find the problem, and if it turns out Best Buy caused it, take the bill for the repair and let them pay it.

Audi tt quattro turn light is not Blinking-stays on

The signal flasher is within the emergency flasher. It will usually make a lot of clicking noise when faulty though. Check all the bulbs on the car for proper operation. Good luck!
