1996, stuck in park shifter moves fine, but car will not roll in neutral, but if i rock car back and forth it will pop out of park and then i can drive forward and backwards just fine. as soon as i put it...

The park pawl is spring loaded and it sounds like that spring has broken. The problem is, the trany has to be removed from the car and completely disassembled to fix it. The linkage for park is all mechanical, the transmission could be completely out of fluid and park should still work. I guess, I would get into the habbit of setting the park brake, then put the car in park and pull it out of park, before you release the park brake. You could also leave the shifter in the neutral position and set the park brake. This will allow you to start the car but you won't be able to remove the key. Hopefully the brake cables are not all rusted up. Good luck.

Right rear brake appears to be locked

Your rear brakes are not releasing. Make sure your brakes are fully released. Pull up and down on it a couple of times.Jack up the rear of the vehicle to get the tires of the surface and see if you can turn the wheels by hand. Brake cable may be bad. do this and post again

2004 Accord will not move on cold mornings

When you release the parking brake, the handle goes down, but the cable in the casing is probably not moving. When you drive away, your parking brake is still set. The movement of the wheels against the brake shoes (or discs) produces heat pretty quickly and causes the brakes to release (at least enough so that there is no longer any contact between the brake shoe or disc and the brake drum or rotor).
The casing normally runs from the back of each hub to a point somewhere forward where they come close together so the brake handle can pull both brake cables at once. The casings could be lubbed, but that is something you probably want a garage to try to do (pretty messy, spraying lub into a casing with the cable is in it, and not a guaranteed solution unless both cables are disconnected, removing from the casings, and cleaned).
Probably the best thing to do to solve the problem in the short run is NOT to set the parking brake in very cold weather.
Hope this is helpful.

96 Plymouth Neon rear tire locked up

Parking brake is stuck ( possibly ),engauging parking brake a few times which in most cases will not help ( never know when they stick ) and at the back of the drum backing plate towards the axle will be the cable give it a couple good tuggs to release it and do not use it again or replace the cables ( if that is the case), if it will not release and or is free the you may have contamination in the brake lines to the rear right causing the caliper to be stuck open. The bleed the rear brake line best possible solution after that garage.

How do I replace the parking brake cable on my 97 Grand Caravan SE 3.3L? it's broken midway where the sliding door starts on the driver side??

well usualy you only have to replace half of it because it is set up like a Y the portion that come from the parking break or handel just clips in to a slide so when you pull or push the parking break down it puls the cable tight the back of it usualy bolts to clips whare the Y starts and is adjustable so un clip from the pedal and un bollt it now i sgest before you pull it out use the borken line as a pull string to feed it throug by taping them together.
