Try 2 station pumps???
if 2nd pump fails, all the 800- number on pump , says call for complaints....
2 pumps fail. (2 island pumps)
are you sure the DASH gauge reads right, some dont.
test the tank fill with dip stick , like all smart aircraft owner do.
we never fly trusting any freakn gauge on dash. (John Denver rules, RIP)
we dip it. (mil spec rules on C130 too.)

Did you run the trip meter,,?? if you had, you'd have known
the gauge was fibbing, say it didnt go 300 miles?
10gal, 30mpg, is 300 miles...

Car can't fill fuel keeps shutting off and floods back out of filler on the ground down the side of the quarter panel have had this problem 4 years

from under the car you will see one pipe running from the top of the tank and along to the front of the engine that is the breather pipe. usually if this pipe become blocked in some way either the line or the vent control unit/relay it would show up on the engine revs etc and the computer (ecu). if its not then it could be the vapour line in the tank filling line stops you pumping air into the tank upon filling. this can cause fuel to pump back out as fast as you are filling it. if the valve in the line is in the wrong way or damaged it can do this. surpost to stop fuel theives.

AFTER I PUT GAS THE CAR WON'T STAR UNTILL I PUSH THE GAS PEDAL AND I HAVE TO KEEP PUSHING SO THAT I WONT SHUT OFF

If you have this problem only when you fill your tank I would check the fuel filter first. The fuel pump will also give you problems after filling the tank due to the extra load.

My 96 yukon wil not start. Sounds like it will crank over but won't. It is not the fuel. I changed the ignition coil still won't start.

try spraying some carb cleaner into a vaccum hose and see if it will run. If so then you have ignition but no fuel delivery. If not then you have an ignition problem. make sure you hear the fuel pump hum when you turn the key to the run position. It should run for +/- 5 seconds then shut off. remove gas cap and listen for fuel pump operation through the fill hole. If you can hear the pump then you have a fuel injection issue. If the engine starts and runs for a few seconds then shuts off then you can suspect the crank or cam position sensor. The fuel pump runs through the oil pressure switch which could also be an issue.

Are you able to start the truck with application of the gas pedal?

While filling up our 2000 Toyota Echo at the gas station the pump at the gas island keeps shutting off. Takes forever to fill the tank.

this is becoming a common problem, what is going on with your car is that as you fill the fuel tank you have to displace the air inside the tank( as the fuel goes in the air has to come out ) this is done by the purge system, as the fuel goes in the air is displaced threw a purge canaster the canster trapes any fuel vapers that are in the displaced air and as you are driving the car the vapors are burned by the engine, this canister is either pluged or the valve that opens and closes the canister is stuck so as you fill the tank the air can not get out so you get back pressure in the fill neck and this causes the pump to shut off, bottom line you need to have the purge system checked. it might be a bad canister or a bad switch could also be one of the hoses to the canaster, heres the bad news to replace almost anything on the system the fuel tank will have to be removed and that can be expenceve....sorry

When i try to fill my 2005 suzuki firenza the gas pump keeps shutting off. The engine light is on too.

The vent for the fuel hose filler is kinked,or blocked,it either runs beside the filler hose,or inside the filler hose.

Blower problem

I am going to take an educated guess and say, that your "check engine light" is for the EVAP system, codes like P1448 (vent control valve) is stuck shut not allowing the vapors to escape while you are filling up, shutting the pump off. Let me know what the code number is and we will take it from there.

93 Suzuki Sidekick, Engine turned off and wont start. Check Compression(good), Spark(good), Disconneted hose from fuel regulator (return to tank) and fuel just keeps pouring out when I try to start engine,...

the computer controls the fuel allowed into the engine, so if its not shutting the fuel pump off after the initial prime, it's probaly a computer problem, they are know for corroding inside the computer, can be fixed cheaper then replaced!
