Question about 1992 Nissan Maxima
I had to take the radio out of my car and now the interior lights won't come on. i'm not sure it was wired right when the previous owner put the radio in.
It sounds like the power wire fed the lights as well. Most of the time its just a piggyback and when you break the connection it disrupts anything powered by it. Although I must admit that this would be a wired wiring but stranger things have happened.
the very first thing I would check is the fuse under the dash. If you it any of the wires taking the radio out you may bhave blown the fuse that protects it and it is very common for a fuse to control and protect more than one item such as a radio , interior lights and cig lighter all at once. If the fuse is blown then problem solved. If not your going to need a tester to find out what wires are poer, negative and what goes where.
