Remove the door panel and find the window motor Unplug it and using a separate car battery run cables directly to the window motor When you switch the polarity the motor will either bring the window up or down or if noting happened change the window motor and window regulator assembly.

I'm looking at doing the same job; if you have 4WD, it's considerably more complicated than this. According to The Book, the front drive axle needs to be removed to allow the pan to come out. Get the repair manual if you intend to do this repair (or any repair on any car) yourself; @ $15, it's cheap.

Which year is your D,,,, 02 or 1999? In any case, both models have rear drum brakes. The 01 I had would be grabby on the rear shoes when it was damp or humid out for the first stop or two.

you have something draining the battery, check for any lights that might be staying on,interior light, stop light under the hood light(if any),glove box light trunk light, if you have a multimeter with amp testing capability or an amp meter you can check where the drain is by removing each fuse & put the probes on each side the terminals until you find a drainage, that way you might be able to find out what is draining the power & rectify it......hope this helps......cheers
