SOURCE: bad knock sensor
Hello mparmijoe: My name is Roger and I will answer for you. You will find the knock sensor at the rear of the engine between the right side of the engine block and the transmission case. call any GM dealer they can tell u if your specific car is involved, it goes by vehicle ID number or VIN, u will also revieve a letter in the mail at some point.
